Is it possible to get a quote? Please click on the chat icon to get an estimate with an agent. The way it work is: 1. We break the charges into smaller amounts to reduce the risk of charging you for a full charge without knowing if the appliance is repairable or not. So we charge a call out fee of €49 (€69 for dishwashers) to go out and check the appliance. 2. If it is repairable and we don't need parts we charge a labour of €36. 3. If parts are needed we charge the labour as normal plus the parts (we would let you know beforehand the part price so you can make a decision). In case we need to order the parts and come back to complete the service no additional fee would be charged apart from the above. Best regards, Paddy Appliances Team.

What Is an Appliance’s Usual Life Expectancy?• A home appliance has an average life expectancy of 7 to 15 years. However, this is an estimate and it will wear out faster if you use the appliance more often. Using the appliance daily will cut its life expectancy, while only using it a few times a week or less should prolong the appliance's life expectancy. The make of the appliance can also play a role in its lifetime, cleaning and maintaining your appliance would also increase its longevity.

Is it Worth Repairing an Appliance Instead of Purchasing a New One?• Repairing your appliance should always be your first choice, the repair service only isn’t worth when it exceeds the cost of a new appliance. If your appliance keeps letting you down and you always need to service it, it might be an indication that your appliance is no longer worth the trouble. Costs can escalate quickly if you are continually paying for repairs and replacing parts. For these reasons our technician will inform you during the first call out the condition of your appliance and if it is worthy to proceed, that’s the main reason we only charge the call out fee of €49 (€69 for dishwashers) in advance.

Should I Fix the Appliance Myself or Book an Appliance Repair Technican?• Instead of attempting your DIY project to fix your faulty appliance, hiring a technician will probably save you money in the long run. Trying to fix the oven yourself may result in further damage to the appliance (sometimes irreversible). A technician will have the appropriate knowledge and skills to give you an expert vision.
